Emmy’s motive to create is driven by the overwhelming need to release sadness. As a child, Emmy was uprooted to a new family without explanation. Lost and unhappy she ran away frequently only to be caught and find herself back in an unhappy home. At age 15, Emmy realized that she needed to run away with a plan and moved out on her own.
Through her music, Emmy’s quest is to crack open that place in our gut that pangs when we experience severe loss and grief. Emmy explains, “I am a happy person with sadness that somehow can only be accessed and released by creating music.”
At the end of 2018, Emmy began a new music project teaming up with DJ Melee/J. Coppo while reinventing herself through a combination of instrumentation and electronic sound. Together they have released three singles and are currently working on a full length album.
Emmy has released three singles (electronic) and two full-length indie rock albums entitled Metamorphic and Tinderbox. Her music can be found on iTunes, Slacker Radio, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Google Play, and Amazon.
